Formed in February 1997, The Picts have quickly become one of the most popular live bands on the folk rock and concert scene. They have reached out with their unique brand of Celtic Rock and captivated hundreds of audiences both at home and abroad. There is a considerable influence of original material combined with the traditional. The sets are upbeat and irresistible for dancing. The songs (both original and traditional) are powerful and rocky, yet retain their original sentiment, feeling and intimacy.

Plaid Attitude, led by Ned and Janis Dairiki, grew out of an open band playing for a weekly Scottish country dance class in Berkeley, California. The band now plays for dance parties, classes, and demonstrations around the San Francisco Bay Area and the west coast, inspiring the dancers with lively traditional jigs, reels, and hornpipes, elegant strathspeys, and an occasional waltz or polka. Band members are also Scottish dancers and, if encouraged, will get up and join the dance!
Plaid Attitude also plays at weddings, pubs, and coffeehouses and at Scottish Highland Games. The band's goal is to share its passion for Scottish dancing and music and to encourage newcomers to join in the fun!
