Since 1996 the band has grown and developed to become one of Aberdeen's most popular bands. With a full range of music, taking in both Ceilidh Music and Cover Versions (ranging from 1950s to current chart music) our versatility makes us suitable for all ages and occasions.
Playing all across the North-East of Scotland, we have played at Weddings, Ceilidhs, Corporate functions, University balls, Festivals, Charity events and even at private celebrity parties. With an excellent re-booking rate and requests from audience members to play at their function, the band has a good rapport with both their clients’ and their audiences.
The band has invested in the best equipment and PA, stage wear which includes smart shirts and jackets with the band's logo, and also lighting for the stage area to add that extra dimension to your event. We also provide music during the break to keep the evening going.
Reliable, friendly and professional guys who enjoy what they do, are looking forward to playing at your function in the near future.

Roots and Galoots play lively, traditional music for ceilidhs, twmpaths, barn dances and country dancing. They also sing a wide range of songs with smooth and exciting harmonies. A caller is always available for dancing.
Their unique sound is formed by the combined talents of the five band members and their progressive approach to traditional music. Whether acoustic or using their own sound equipment, their music is suitable for all venues and all age groups.
Fiddle, mandolin, 5-string banjo, guitar and upright bass combine in a foot-tappin' sound that has been enjoyed throughout the UK and Ireland.
